Under the supervision of the Area Construction Senior Transportation Engineer, incumbent performs various office tasks related to all aspects of construction contract management. These tasks include: payments for Major and Minor Construction projects, filing construction records, managing the office equipment, purchasing supplies, and managing the budget for the office. Possession of a valid drivers license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle. Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required.

Failure to submit a Statement of Qualifications may disqualify candidates from the hiring process. The SOQ must not exceed two (2) pages in length. Please provide a brief discussion of how the applicants education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria below and qualify them for the position. Experience preparing written and verbal correspondence, organize meetings including minutes, and preparing reports. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to maintain a field office: including balancing and setting multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines, maintaining contract files, managing service contracts, purchasing office equipment and supplies, and performing other duties related to office management. Demonstrates proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database or other computer applications. Experience also desired in construction specific software. Experience extracting, analyzing, and organizing raw data, reason logically, recognize problems, develop solutions, make recommendations for improvement, ability to make independent actions and decision making. Ability to follow instructions. Possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary to be an effective team member that inspires and motivates others through effective communication, collaboration, and partnership.
