Overview Senior Configuration Manager

WORK LOCATION: Lackland AFB, TX

JOB STATUS: Full-Time; Salaried

SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST have an active Top Secret security clearance

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Configuration Manager supporting the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, which is within the Cyber and Networks Directorate (AFLCMC/HN), and located at Lackland AFB, TX.

Required Qualifications / Skills

Education: bachelor's Degree in a related field

Years of Experience: Ten years of experience in configuration or data management, five of which must be in the DoD. A total of 15 years of directly related experience (8 DoD) may substitute for the Bachelor's degree.

Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications / Skills

Experience with MIL-HDBK-61

Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environments.

Ability to enter and manipulate data in a database.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Ability to work independently and with a team.

Experience in MS office suite software required.

Responsibilities

Provide configuration management of all relevant program artifacts.

Archive acquisition documentation.

Review and analyze the sustainment contractor’s CM program and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Maintain CM files including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting records.

Convene and manage the configuration control boards, technical review boards, and record approved changes and results.

Participate in cross functional change control boards to evaluate proposed changes. Review and analyze proposed changes to ensure operational and sustainment capabilities are not adversely affected by the changes.

Review the CCB membership list for currency and completeness. Support engineering assessments.

Prepare for, conduct, and/or support physical configuration audits and functional configuration audits.

Record and maintain assessment and audit findings, minutes, and action items.

Support pre- and post- contract award data reviews.

Work closely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, draftsman and design slash manufacturing engineers in an integrated product team environment.

Develop and administer configuration management plans.

Maintain design traceability and integrity.

Manage and control product baselines.

Analyze data and prepare plans and briefings and support of software driven systems.

Audit and review IT system configurations control the configuration of IT systems.

Identify and maintain all baselines.

Identify data requirements in the statement of work, statement of objectives, and/or performance work statement.
