Scope of Work The Senior Enterprise Architect will provide Enterprise Architecture (EA) services to align the business strategy with IT initiatives, offering governance, architecture strategy, development, business process design, and re‑engineering. Responsibilities include:

Strategic Alignment Connect project objectives to existing roadmaps and broader strategic goals.

Create and maintain deliverables such as plans, roadmaps, and scalability assessments.

Identify and plan for new enterprise or shared services to support initiatives.

Strategic Support Guide and support the project's strategic vision with cross‑functional teams.

Ensure alignment between project architecture and business strategy, planned solutions, IT products, and shared services.

Create enterprise architecture models that map data and technology to business objectives.

Collaborate with product discovery teams on emerging product needs.

Identify business process improvements and re‑engineering opportunities.

Evaluate and define integration of products, roles, and architecture requirements.

Assess current and future technologies and coordinate IT governance approvals.

Foster relationships with internal business programs and product managers.

Utilize project management tools and standards for effective communication.

Adhere to delivery standards, Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), and provide strategic support to teams and vendor partners.

Contribute to governance processes and develop enterprise architecture frameworks, guidelines, and standards.

Architecture Assurance Conduct and document evaluations of proposed solution architecture to validate alignment with EA standards.

Document findings in the enterprise architecture repository.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and the MITA framework.

Maintain adherence to repository standards and processes.

Facilitate communication of repository usage to the project team.

Mandatory Experience

At least 7 years of full‑time experience applying Enterprise Architecture principles; 5 of those years in a lead role.

Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related or Engineering field (alternative experience acceptable upon evaluation).

Minimum 6 years of developing major enterprise architecture components, including strategic drivers and roadmaps.

Minimum 5 years communicating project technologies requiring governance approvals.

Minimum 7 years implementing and analyzing end‑to‑end solutions with enterprise standards.

Ability to provide client references and contact information for relevant projects.

Desirable Experience

2+ years of Agile methodology experience delivering services aligned with business outcomes.

2+ years developing strategic direction and translating architecture to system owners and PMO teams.

2+ years creating roadmaps supporting enterprise governance processes.

2+ years utilizing Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) in architecture assurance.

2+ years analyzing business functions and data workflows to support solution roadmaps.
