Senior GitLab Engineer
We are looking for a
Senior GitLab Engineer
to lead our CI/CD modernization, drive GitLab administration, and migrate legacy automation into a unified GitLab platform. The ideal candidate will have deep hands‑on GitLab expertise, strong DevOps skills, and experience transforming CI/CD ecosystems at scale.
Responsibilities
3+ years of hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitLab Runners, and GitLab administration
Proven experience migrating Jenkins/other legacy pipelines to GitLab CI/CD
Strong skills in creating, optimizing, and securing GitLab pipelines (YAML, caching, templates, artifacts)
Experience managing GitLab groups, projects, permissions, SSO/SAML/LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore
Solid understanding of Docker containerization and ability to support migration from Docker to Podman/Buildah
Hands‑on experience with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning runners, infrastructure, and GitOps workflows
Strong scripting expertise (Bash, Python, or Go) for automation and pipeline development
Experience integrating security tools (SAST, DAST, container scanning, code quality checks) into CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deploying GitLab runners in cloud or hybrid setups
Ability to collaborate with application teams, troubleshoot CI/CD issues, and drive best practices across engineering
