Job Description Hadoop development and related [Horton] technology stack.
Experience with Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie and MapReduce on Hortonworks
ELT/ETL development in Hadoop experience including working with custom code or ETL toolsets.
Experience in designing and troubleshooting HBase, Pig and Hive queries and performance
Experience designing HBase databases and tables.
Java development experience and software development experience.
Excellent aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.
Experience and knowledge of Linux
Hadoop configuration, understanding and troubleshooting preferred,
Experience with Cloud providers preferred
Demonstrated ability to design, test, and deploy Hadoop applications
Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
3+ years of experience in Hadoop and related technology stack
Strong software development or scripting skills
Prior experience in Java/Java EE
Data Modeling, Data Governance, Metadata and Master Data Management experience
Demonstrable problem solving and debugging skills required
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills
