About the Company

A global energy and infrastructure organization seeks a seasoned Tax Manager to join a high‑performing direct tax function. The company operates across multiple regions, manages complex assets, and supports a diverse mix of commercial, operational, and investment activities. This role sits within a tax team that partners closely with leadership and front‑office groups, offering broad exposure to trading, renewables, and corporate entities. Role Overview

This position leads a small team responsible for U.S. federal and state income tax matters, tax reporting, planning initiatives, and support for corporate transactions. The work spans compliance, provision, advisory, and audit management, with frequent collaboration across finance, deal teams, and senior stakeholders. The environment values analytical depth, cross‑functional partnership, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Support corporate investment and M&A activities, including tax analysis for acquisitions and divestitures Review federal, state, and local income/franchise tax filings, estimates, extensions, and related documentation Oversee quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and deferred tax calculations Extract and analyze financial data from ERP and trading/operational systems Manage federal and state audits and respond to jurisdictional inquiries Identify tax optimization opportunities and contribute to planning initiatives Drive enhancements to processes, systems, and team workflows Lead a team of four tax professionals and coordinate cross‑functional priorities What Success Looks Like

8+ years of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax experience, including consolidated returns and tax accounting (ASC 740 / IAS 12) Prior experience within a large Oil & Gas company is a major plus. Prior leadership or team management experience within a multinational environment CPA strongly preferred Experience with major tax compliance software (e.g., OneSource) is a plus Exposure to partnership taxation and/or tax considerations in renewable energy projects is advantageous Benefits
