Position : Corporate Counsel, Privacy & Data Location : Los Angeles, CA Salary range : $255,750.00 – $288,500.00/year We seek a Corporate Counsel, Privacy & Data to advise and counsel attorneys at Sony Interactive Entertainment and business units that process personal data. The successful candidate will bring a Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and at least three (3) years of experience developing privacy strategy to meet evolving global requirements. Key responsibilities include: Advising on privacy strategy for a global, multi‑jurisdictional product development program across diverse regulatory frameworks. Leading privacy reviews of new products, features, and services, and advising on emerging technologies. Leading internal privacy trainings and staying current on relevant privacy laws (U.S. FTC Act, COPPA, California CCPA, Canada’s PIPEDA, EU/UK GDPR, EU ePrivacy Directive, and others). Additional duties encompass: resolving consumer complaints and regulatory investigations; conducting internal investigations into data misuse or loss; evaluating and conducting due diligence on third‑party vendors; negotiating and managing contractual privacy aspects; advising on the privacy implications of advertising technologies; and providing counsel on AI, machine learning, and biometric tools.
