Microbiology Technician/Associate Scientist
Job Title: Microbiology Technician/Associate Scientist
Location: Pleasanton, California
Type: Contract
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 8:00 to 4:30 or 8:30 to 5:00 Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
Executing a variety of microbiological laboratory experiments in collaboration with other technicians and scientists
Collecting, evaluating, and presenting data to inform teams to enable project decisions
Supporting laboratory upkeep, maintenance, ordering of equipment and supplies, media preparation
Contributing to knowledge management practices with standardization and consistency
Effectively network internally and externally
Collaborating cross-functionally with individuals in a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds and building effective relationships.
New test method development & validation
Supports critical internal R&D formulation development required to establish robust products and method development for various initiatives across company businesses.
Responsible for the prep, execution, and data analysis of laboratory testing under guidance of Scientists and oversight of the Group Manager.
Work with a variety of microbes including Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Clostridioides difficile, Staphylococcus aureus among others.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Background in microbiology
Experience with aseptic techniques and dilution procedures
Quickly understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
