This position is contingent upon award and not currently funded.
Responsibilities
Operating and handling mechanical equipment such as boilers and stationary engines.
Monitor equipment and observe water, fuel, and air levels data.
Maintain equipment as needed.
Conduct all necessary tests to ensure equipment functions correctly.
Diagnose, repair, and operate central chillers, compressed-air equipment, waste trim equipment, and process vacuum equipment.
Test and maintain fire sprinkler systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in HVAC.
Must be able to interpret and apply blueprints and complicated equipment control diagrams.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Thorough working knowledge of refrigeration theory.
