Senior Account Executive (Team Sports Sponsorship) (Payment Services Client) Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs in the Payment Services client.

We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Account Executive to play an integral role on our Payment Services team via the management and implementation of various Team Sport partnerships across the country in a robust sponsorship portfolio.

The Senior Account Executive will be the main point of contact for our client to help guide them through yearlong strategic planning, property management, marketing promotion/activation, event management, direct communication, and ROI tracking/reporting. Additionally, the role will contribute to overall account and new projects, working cross‑functionally with client business units to develop sponsorship programming and drive marketing initiatives with our baseball partners.

Ideal candidates have proven experience leading and activating major sponsorship programs, a customer‑centric mentality, and social savvy required to work across multiple marketing fields. Team Sports Sponsorship experience is preferred.

Requirements: domestic travel as necessary; excellent communication, time‑management, creativity, proactivity, acute attention to detail, and ability to work well on a team.

The work you’ll do

Build and cultivate positive client relationships.

Serve as one of the reliable agency contacts for the client sponsorship team, internal client departments, and agency partners.

Support and lead day‑to‑day management of Team Sports partnerships and other client initiatives across the country.

Develop, coordinate, and execute integrated sponsorship activations and events.

Support MLB partnership, including integrated and support on tentpole programming.

Support and grow key relationships with property partners and vendors.

Collaborate with cross‑agency teams to develop comprehensive programs and impactful experiences for client partners.

Communicate and implement yearly client objectives and strategy.

Oversee website‑driven partnership content/offers with property partners.

Support approvals for creative, advertising, marketing and media integration.

Prepare program documentation and wrap‑up reports including results tracking for season and key events.

Manage and participate in weekly status meetings by crafting agendas, driving the discussion, and providing recap summaries.

Assist in asset management (e.g., audit compliance, ticket allocations, financial tracking).

Keep an eye on new business opportunities and monitor industry news and trends.

Who we’re looking for

2+ years of experience within entertainment, sports sponsorship, or event marketing; Payment Services industry knowledge a plus.

Strong background in client‑facing roles, preferably with increasing responsibility.

Understanding of the sports sponsorship space.

Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client’s industry, brand, and product offering.

Experience in creating exceptional integrated marketing programming.

Property management experience including: evaluation, negotiation, legal and partner management.

A keen sense of current trends with the ability to provide recommendations.

Extremely detail‑oriented; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while producing quality work within deadlines.

Strong self‑starter with excellent team dynamics; proactive and ready to jump in wherever needed.

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while also solving problems independently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn – intellectually curious.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).

Collaborative nature with a “no job is too small” positive attitude.

Ability to take direction and run with it.

Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed; anticipated travel 20‑45%.

This position pays $50,000, is overtime‑eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
