Job Summary
Workday PRISM ETL Engineer will design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to support data integration within the Workday PRISM Analytics platform. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility, enabling effective data‑driven decision‑making.
Essential Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain ETL products.
Take full‑stack ownership by writing production‑ready, testable code.
Create optimal designs that adhere to architectural best practices, considering scalability, reliability, and performance.
Analyze failures, propose design changes, and promote operational improvements.
Make sound design and coding decisions with customer experience in mind.
Take feedback from code reviews and apply changes to meet standards.
Conduct code reviews to guide engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
Ensure all product development follows compliance and security best practices.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Five to six years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills / Experience
Hands‑on experience with Workday Integrations (EIB/API/Connectors/Studio/Orchestrate/Extend).
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and UDeploy.
Experience in SaaS data warehousing, data lakes, or data engineering applications such as Snowflake.
Proven experience as an ETL Engineer, Data Integration Specialist, or similar role.
Hands‑on experience with Workday PRISM Analytics, Accounting Center, and Workday integrations (Studio/Orchestrate/APIs).
Familiarity with Workday Extend development.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure (preferred), Google Cloud).
Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Practitest, DragonBoat.
Comfortable engaging with 3rd parties, business line SMEs, and cross‑functional workstreams to uncover dependencies and coordinate testing scenarios.
Location Expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
