Project Manager (Exempt)

We’re looking for a professional to manage the planning, design, and construction of rural power systems—including diesel power plants, bulk fuel tank farms, renewable energy systems, and power distribution systems—and to provide technical assistance and training to rural Alaska communities to support the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of bulk fuel tank farms, electrical power generation and distribution systems, and renewable energy systems.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and construct rural power systems.
Manage construction, operations, and maintenance of power and bulk fuel systems.
Provide technical assistance and training to rural communities.
Ensure safe and reliable operation of bulk fuel tank farms and renewable energy systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field, or Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, operations, and/or maintenance of power and/or bulk fuel systems.
Experience managing rural Alaska projects preferred.
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska preferred.
Exempt Position This Position is Exempt and is Not in the Classified Services. Exempt positions/employees are excluded from title 39, Chapter 25, State Personnel Act and the Personnel Rules adopted under it.
