Sports Performance Director Position Location Fields at Station 63, located in Mansfield, Texas, is a premier destination for athletes, families, and sports enthusiasts. The park boasts eight baseball and softball fields with full synthetic turf, an indoor turf field for year-round training, a batting cage training center, and two state-of-the-art restaurants for dining and social experiences. Position Summary The Sports Performance / Fitness Director will oversee all athletic performance, fitness programming, and training services offered at Fields at Station 63. This role requires an expert in athletic development who can build, manage, and grow a comprehensive sports performance department serving athletes of all ages and ability levels. The Director will design programs, manage instructors and independent contractors, coordinate member services, and ensure a world-class training experience that aligns with the mission and strategic goals of Fields at Station 63.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sports Performance Programming

Develop and lead a full suite of sports performance programs including strength & conditioning, speed & agility, mobility, sport-specific training, and youth athletic development.

Build level-based “Development Pathways” for athletes (Youth Foundations, Competitive, Elite).

Oversee group classes, clinics, camps, team training, and private/semi-private sessions.

Ensure programming is based on current performance science, safety standards, and age-appropriate progressions.

Operations & Facility Oversight Manage the daily operations of the sports performance center, including scheduling, equipment organization, and safety protocols.

Oversee equipment procurement, maintenance, and replacement planning.

Collaborate with the Facilities Director on space layout, cleanliness, and operational readiness.

Staff & Contractor Leadership

Recruit, train, and supervise strength coaches, performance trainers, and independent contractor instructors.

Develop onboarding, continuing education, and performance expectations for all coaching staff.

Ensure coaching staff reflects Fields at Station 63 culture, professionalism, and customer service standards.

Member Services & Customer Experience

Manage membership tiers, benefits, and athlete access to training programs.

Build strong relationships with athletes, parents, teams, and partners.

Address customer feedback and maintain a high level of service satisfaction.

Partnership & Team Collaboration

Collaborate with the Baseball/Softball Directors to integrate performance training with athlete development.

Coordinate with the General Manager on strategic programming and revenue growth goals.

Financial Management

Develop and manage the performance department budget.

Oversee revenue streams including memberships, lessons, team training, clinics, and camps.

Track program performance, instructor payouts, and growth metrics.

Marketing & Promotion

Partner with the Marketing Team to promote programs, memberships, and seasonal offerings.

Create content, training tips, and visual media that elevate the performance brand.

Attend community events, school presentations, and club team meetings to increase visibility.

Safety, Compliance & Professional Standards

Maintain all required certifications and ensure staff compliance with industry standards.

Implement risk-management procedures to reduce injury potential.

Ensure a safe training environment for all participants.

Continuous Improvement

Stay current on emerging sports science trends and bring innovative programming to the facility.

Evaluate program performance regularly through data analysis and member feedback.

Recommend new offerings to enhance competitiveness and reinforce Fields at Station 63 as a regional leader in athlete development.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, Strength & Conditioning, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading sports performance or fitness programs.

Nationally recognized certification(s) required (CSCS, NASM-PES, USAW, NSCA-CPT, or equivalent).

Proven experience designing and managing revenue-generating training programs.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with youth, adults, competitive athletes, and teams.

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

A passion for athlete development and creating exceptional training experiences.

Must be able to perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of all safety programs.

Must work collaboratively across departments to support facility success.
