What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Lead technical accounting assessments of complex customer contracts, including SaaS and usage-based pricing
Maintain global revenue accounting policy in compliance with ASC 606
Provide mentorship and guidance on technical revenue matters to team members and partner groups
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Product teams to ensure compliance with revenue recognition
Oversee the monthly close process related to revenue recognition and maintain SOX control environment
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
8+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting within a public accounting firm and large corporate environment
6+ years of progressive people management experience
Expert knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP, particularly in SaaS revenue models
Proven communication skills to articulate complex technical accounting concepts effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
CPA or equivalent certification
5+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience
Experience in technical revenue accounting at high-growth technology or publicly traded companies
Familiarity with Oracle RMCS and Zuora Revenue
