Halff has an immediate opening in our DFW area offices (Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, Richardson, TX) for a Professional Civil Engineer with 12 or more years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design. The position will be for a Project Manager interested in managing design and construction for a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects. Projects include, yet not limited to, roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, civil site work and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities. What you will do:
This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects for the Public Works practice.
This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.
The role will have a large amount of autonomy in managing other professional engineers, engineers‑in‑training, and CAD designers.
Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
This position shall value and be active in professional organizations that benefit the Public Works Industry.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas, or transferable within 2 months
At least 12 years of experience in utility and public works design
Good technical writing and communication skills
Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development and staffing projections
Experience in producing winning project proposals as lead professional/project manager
Strong ability to train and mentor staff
Must be proficient in project management, administration and supervision
Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines.
Positive attitude, self‑directed
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
