Vice President – Multifamily Construction
Daksta is exclusively partnered with a Top-200 ENR general contractor headquartered in Maryland with annual revenues of approximately $750M. The firm is now seeking a VP of Multifamily to establish and lead a brand-new division based out of their Maryland office.
The Company
This Maryland-based GC delivers projects across commercial, government, education, life sciences, mission-critical, and other complex sectors, with work ranging up to $1B in value.
Financially strong and well-bonded, the business combines the stability of a large contractor with the culture of a family-oriented firm - big enough to compete nationally, small enough for leaders to have real influence.
The VP of Multifamily will be responsible for launching and scaling the company’s entry into the multifamily market, with the division targeted for rollout in 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the launch, strategy, and long-term growth of a new multifamily division in Maryland.
Drive business development, secure new client relationships, and position the company competitively in the regional multifamily market.
Oversee all phases of project delivery, including preconstruction, estimating, staffing, execution, and closeout.
Build and hire the division’s core team, including project management and field leadership.
Establish operational standards, procedures, and best practices for the division.
Deliver consistent year-over-year revenue and margin growth.
Collaborate with internal business units on joint‑venture and cross‑sector pursuits.
Represent the company with owners, developers, and strategic partners.
Requirements
10+ years of multifamily GC experience, including 3+ years at an executive or senior leadership level (developer experience considered but GC background preferred).
Proven success delivering large-scale multifamily projects of $100M+.
Experience with a Top‑200 ENR general contractor is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated tenure and progression with limited job‑to‑job movement.
Strong knowledge of the DMV market and ability to be based full‑time in Maryland.
Base salary from $200k+, plus a performance‑based bonus opportunity exceeding $200k+.
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
