The Municipal Airport Authority of the City of Fargo, ND (MAA) is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the airport’s financial and administrative operations. This is an executive management position, under the administrative direction of the Executive Director. This position may be part-time at 32 hours per week or full-time at 40 hours per week. The CFO will oversee budgeting, financial planning, reporting, compliance ensuring fiscal responsibility and supporting the MAA’s long-term growth and sustainability.
Education Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the public sector or transportation.
Experience at a commercial service airport and working with an appointed board or elected officials is highly desirable. Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program grant assurances, (e.g. revenue diversion, self-sufficiency requirements, unjust discrimination), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements, federal aviation laws, FAA Airport Revenue Use Policy, Passenger Facility Charge Program (PFC) regulations and requirements, and Federal Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations for airport debt is preferred.
Five years of experience in fund accounting.
Five years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
A minimum of two years of experience in QuickBooks.
