About the Section of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine The Section of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine at Tulane University is dedicated to advancing health care and quality of life for older people and those with serious illnesses. The section partners closely with primary care physicians and specialists across Tulane Medicine, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, transplant, and trauma. Faculty provide specialized consultation for frail, older adults with complex, chronic, or life‑threatening conditions such as dementia and delirium. The palliative care team delivers patient‑ and family‑centered care that improves quality of life for those facing life‑limiting illnesses by anticipating, preventing, and treating suffering. Services are offered inpatient, outpatient, and in local nursing homes.

Position Highlights

Provide inpatient and outpatient geriatric consultations with a focus on complex, vulnerable populations.

Collaborate with primary care providers and subspecialists across Tulane Medicine.

Actively teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

Engage in quality improvement, program development, and research through the Tulane Center for Aging.

Work alongside palliative care colleagues in a section committed to academic growth and whole‑person care.

Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatrics. Experience in geriatrics with frail, older adults and complex, chronic, or life‑threatening conditions. Passion for teaching, academic research, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
