Structured Products Analyst – Hedge Fund
Our elite global Hedge Fund client is seeking a Structured Product Analyst with bank or buyside asset‑backed structuring experience to perform investment research, structured credit analysis, cash‑flow modeling (Intex), valuation analysis, and ongoing surveillance for their global ABS and RMBS investment portfolio.
Responsibilities
Perform investment research, structured credit analysis, cash‑flow modeling (Intex), valuation analysis and ongoing surveillance for the global ABS and RMBS portfolio.
Leverage cash‑flow and collateral data to evaluate investment opportunities.
Utilize Intex cash‑flow models to analyze and monitor existing investment holdings.
Develop analytics to assist in the valuation and purchase of investment positions.
Perform asset structuring and waterfall calculations.
Identify risks and conduct portfolio performance analysis.
Consistently monitor and analyze developments in the US and European structured credit markets and provide market color and updates to the portfolio manager, traders and other key stakeholders.
Communicate regularly with the portfolio manager and traders on portfolio strategy, macro market developments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with a record of strong academic achievement.
2+ years of banking or buyside asset‑backed structuring and structured credit transaction analysis.
Strong knowledge of fixed‑income markets and structured credit products.
Advanced credit analysis, cash‑flow modeling and structured credit valuation skills.
Fundamental knowledge of ABS and RMBS structures and waterfall calculations.
Experience with Intex strongly preferred.
Highly motivated, driven and intellectually curious with the ability to thrive on a lean investment team.
Keen interest in learning, adding value and gaining knowledge of the entire investment process.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and business writing skills.
