Position Overview Associate Therapist (ASW/AMFT/APCC) in California.
Full‑time, non‑exempt, hourly position.
Compensation
Base Salary: $32‑$35 per hour (Associate)
Free Clinical Supervision (Hours toward licensing)
Health Insurance: Medical, Vision, Dental

Key Responsibilities
Conduct individual therapy, including comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, and evidence‑based therapy for substance use disorders, mental health issues, and trauma.
Facilitate group therapy, including psychoeducational and process‑oriented groups to foster peer support, skill development, and relapse prevention.
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members, advocate for client needs, and ensure continuity of treatment.
Perform utilization review and clinical updates for insurance partner medical necessity.
Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during emotional or behavioral crises.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and consultation to enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Master’s degree in social work (MSW), counseling psychology (MA/MSc), clinical psychology (MA/MSc), or related field.
Licensure: Registered Associate (ASW/AMFT/APCC) in California.
Minimum of one year of experience providing direct clinical services to individuals with substance use disorders and/or mental health disorders.
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapy skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Current CPR/First Aid certification (required).
Valid CA driver’s license.
Current health screen (required).
TB clearance (required).
Compassionate and empathetic communication.
Strong time‑management and task prioritization.
