The Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center which provides cutting edge treatment to its patients, including the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI).
Responsibilities Advanced Practitioners at Hartford Hospital practice Emergency Medicine (ED/ER) in a very busy Level 1 Trauma Center alongside residents and attendings. Advanced practitioners see patients from every triage level.
Schedule Full-time (40 hours per week) with day and night rotating shifts.

Requirements
Exceptional physical assessment skills
Minimum 6 months experience in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of health disruptions and trauma conditions
Proficiency in suturing, minor surgical skills, splinting/casting, gynecological exam (job or preceptorship experience)
Strongly preferred: minimum 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine
Proficiency with minor surgical skills essential
Strong communication skills, positive interaction with medical nursing staff and multidisciplinary team
Strong customer service skills focused on quality and efficiency
Ability to positively react to a busy, demanding, and dynamic clinical atmosphere with varying patient volumes, acuities, and medical problems
FNP/PA-C: graduation from an accredited FNP/PA program (elective rotation in Emergency Medicine strongly preferred), Master’s degree preferred
APRN/PA CT license, current certification, Federal DEA license required
