About the Job The temporary Audio Engineer/A1 provides professional audio support for productions and events produced by the organization, focusing on those taking place in our theaters. As part of the Performance Services team, the A1 will be responsible for sound system engineering, live mixing, playback, and video integration as assigned for specific productions. The A1 will work closely with the full Performance Services team, including audio staff, technical direction, lighting, stage management, costumes, and Concert Services.
Responsibilities • Audio engineering and live sound support for theater, dance, and opera productions.
• Live mixing, playback, and video integration as needed.
• Collaboration with audio staff, technical direction, lighting, stage management, costumes, and Concert Services.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience as a Sound Engineer for theater, dance, and/or opera productions.
BA in Theater or other degree equivalent preferred.
Exceptional engineering skills for musical productions, prior work with digital consoles (Yamaha CL, TF series, Behringer X32), mixing wireless microphones in live performances, installation of visual/audio monitors and other audio equipment including Clear‑Com.
