Senior Manager, Accounting Services
is responsible for leading a centralized shared-services team accountable for end-to-end accounts payable, payroll delivery, and treasury operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing while driving process standardization, controls, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
Oversee daily operations for Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Treasury shared-services functions, ensuring deadlines and service level agreements are met.
Design, document, and enforce standardized policies, procedures, and internal controls across all three service lines to reduce risk and improve consistency.
Manage month-end and period-close activities that impact payables, payroll accounting entries, and bank reconciliations.
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, specialists, and analysts; set performance goals and conduct regular reviews.
Partner with internal stakeholders (HR, procurement, tax, business units) to resolve escalations, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Lead automation, ERP/configuration, and continuous improvement initiatives (RPA, AP/Payroll portals, bank connectivity) to increase efficiency and reduce manual touchpoints.
Manage relationships with banks, payroll providers, and third-party vendors; oversee bank account management, cash forecasting inputs, and vendor payment terms.
Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance for payroll, tax withholdings, 1099/reporting (or local equivalents), and anti-fraud/AML controls in treasury activities.
Prepare management reports and KPIs (payment timeliness, payroll accuracy, cash position variance, DPO, exception rates) for senior finance leadership.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
CPA or relevant professional certification preferred.
Experience
7+ years of progressive finance operations experience with at least 5 years managing shared‑services teams or multi‑function finance operations.
2+ years of minimum experience managing a team of 5‑10 accounting team members.
Security Clearance
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
Physical Requirements Physical Demands: Constantly required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment.
Salary Range $143,100 - $183,200 USD
