Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Role Focus
Reporting to the Chief Communications & Marketing Officer, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for helping to develop and execute the marketing, advertising and communications efforts of the school. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will play a key role in promoting the school’s vision and identity to all key audiences, both internal and external.
Overview of Responsibilities
Help execute a multipronged approach to engage, inform and support the School’s internal and external audiences. Internal audiences include LFC parents, alumni and friends, students, employees, the Admissions Office, Development Office and Auxiliary Programs Office.
External audiences include the Ravenswood/Lincoln Square neighborhood, the city of Chicago, Chicago’s French and international communities, prospective sponsors and partners, and business and philanthropic leaders.
Develop and execute social media strategy for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, through posting, responding to comments, direct messages.
Create content to showcase the school’s educational excellence, uniqueness and multicultural, rich community, including letters, articles, photos, videos, infographics, presentations, etc.
Update website content regularly on public and event websites as well as the parent portal.
Create and maintain print and digital marketing and communications collateral, including videos, photography, brochures, banners, advertisements, and e-blasts.
Work with outside vendors, including graphic designers, photographers, videographers and media consultants.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment.
Includes occasional evening and weekend work.
Required Education and Experience The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of professional communications and marketing experience.
Skills and Abilities
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Strong bilingual writing abilities in both English and French strongly preferred.
Comfort with videography and photography
Interest in social media marketing
Interest in Adobe Suite and graphic design, including Photoshop and InDesign
Enthusiastic and energetic
Team player: will work especially closely with Digital Media Manager and other Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Ability to stay calm under pressure and have exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of the Lycée
Additional Information
This is a full-time position with benefits, including medical insurance, 403b, and a generous paid time-off policy
Annual salary range of 50-55k
This position requires on-site presence at the Lycée campus
