Lead Software Engineer – Core Network Program Management Office (PMO) Data Analytics, Tooling, and Automation (DATA) AT&T is looking for a Lead Software Engineer based in Plano, TX. This role requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

As a Lead Software Engineer you will be responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support, and maintenance with a focus on automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration. You will collaborate closely with internal project management teams to ensure application features align with user needs and lead the AI improvement efforts for our application.

What you’ll do:

Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and work with engineers and architects to assess and test software interactions.

Develop software using a specific methodology and a variety of programming languages.

Validate test environments, test data and results; design and implement code fixes and validate outcomes against expected results.

Perform unit, dynamic application security, interface, integration, end‑to‑end, and user acceptance testing.

Support software deployment processes and resolve configuration and environment issues.

Design, develop, and deploy an AI interface for the application, primarily used by project managers to answer complex data questions and perform automated processes.

Requirements:

5+ years of relevant experience.

Front‑end development experience in Angular (or similar), HTML, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, C#, .NET Framework, Azure, and Power Platform.

Experience with Python and AI platforms such as Palantir AIP or other AI platforms.

Ability to work with a team of developers, data analysts, database administrators, and project managers.

Passion for and experience with AI use, development, training, and integration.

Strong drive for continuous learning and ability to contribute innovative ideas to improve the application.

Experience making and managing connections to external systems and building automated tasks based on incoming data.

Compensation: $143,800 – $215,800 USD Annual, based on geography, experience, and education.

Employment type: Full‑time – Regular (40 hours per week)
