Position Summary Are you looking for a career in helping to educate, equip, and empower young people? Glenmont Job Corps is looking for you. The Programs Director manages the Academic and Career Technical Training functions, overseeing student academic and career technical training programs. The role ensures student progress and completion, providing industry‑recognized training and credentials that lead to full‑time jobs, higher education, or advanced training. The position maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.

Schedule & Salary Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm

Annual salary: $80,000.00

What You’ll Do

Ensure student progress and completion of the Job Corps program.

Provide industry‑recognized training and credentials that drive students toward full‑time employment or further education.

Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.

Ensure the area of oversight is organized, safe, and conducive to student learning.

Motivate, empower, and hold staff accountable; delegate tasks and manage performance, including hiring, disciplining, and terminating staff as needed.

Provide required/supplemental training for new and current employees.

Develop community linkages, promote a positive image of the Center, and establish relationships with elected officials.

Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.

What We’re Looking For

Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.

Experience working with youth students, supervision (Job Corps or similar setting preferred).

Passion for youth development and creating a positive impact.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school (required).

Master’s degree from an accredited school (preferred).

Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching or a related field (required).

Valid in‑state teaching certificate (preferred).

Preference for those with Job Corps or related program experience.
