Role Objective

Responsible for the concepting and development of power system delivery solutions, primarily in data center power architecture. Work with technical teams to optimize customer solutions, leveraging TE Power products (Busbar/Connector/Cable Assembly) and design iterations, customer requirements, simulations, and test results. Lead the technical challenges to solutions for connector technology. Build customer technical relationships to expand TE Power system solutions, leveraging TE IP and fast response & samples. Contribute to technical papers, presentations, and forums to expand the TE brand. Job Requirements

Deep understanding of market and customer needs in power data center architecture. Collaborate closely with Customers/FAE for clarity on VOC (voice of customer). Create concepts and engineering design proposals for customer platforms. Produce detailed designs, analysis, and simulation to assure performance. Mentor engineering team activities (DFMEA, concept review, tolerance analysis, simulations). Execute technical documentation: design drawings, requirements, design history files. Maintain system‑level understanding of customer applications. Support thermal and power integrity modeling and performance simulation. Provide leadership and technical expertise in new product development. Lead solution delivery aligned with technical roadmap. Collaborate with technical experts across TE and industry. Perform technical peer reviews on new technologies and products. Write and collaborate on technical white papers and standards specifications. Mentor others in technical expertise. What Your Background Should Look Like

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical preferred with a Master’s. 10+ years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering work, particularly in data center power architecture. Knowledge of data center (AI) or similar market and power distribution systems. Experience designing and analyzing product power supply solutions. Experience with connector design, cable assembly, busbar assembly; material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification. Expertise in gathering customer system requirements and translating them into component‑level performance metrics. Proficient in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and design applications (SolidWorks, SpaceClaim). Expert in GD&T and tolerance analysis. Proficient with finite element analysis (Ansys, Workbench). In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM best practices. Strong leadership in requirements definition and concepting of new products. Solid understanding of competitive products and intellectual property positions. Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking abilities. Compensation

Competitive base salary: $154,100 – $231,200 (location dependent). Base salary + incentives + benefits. Benefits
