About The Position The In-Home Therapist provides structured, strengths-based clinical services to youth and families to address behavioral health needs and enhance family functioning. This part-time (hourly) role includes comprehensive assessments using the Massachusetts CANS, collaborative treatment planning with caregivers, risk/safety planning, and intensive family therapy. The clinician identifies community resources, coordinates with collateral providers, and coaches families in decision-making, all within a culturally responsive, trauma‑informed framework.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including Massachusetts CANS; develop and update treatment plans with caregivers/youth.
Create and monitor risk management/safety plans; provide crisis response and stabilization as needed.
Deliver intensive, family-centered therapy (individual, family, and collateral sessions) in the home/community.
Identify community resources; coordinate referrals and care with schools, medical, and behavioral health providers.
Coach families in decision‑making, self‑advocacy, and skill‑building to sustain progress.
Maintain timely, accurate documentation and organized electronic records per payer and agency standards.
Collaborate with Family Partners and interdisciplinary teams; participate in weekly supervision and staff meetings.
Provide services that are culturally responsive, youth‑ and family‑driven, and consistent with CBHI/wraparound principles.
Flexible schedule to meet family needs Monday–Friday within 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.
Requirements Must‑Haves
Master’s degree (or higher) in a behavioral health field and 3+ years delivering outpatient/community‑based services to youth and families.
Current Massachusetts CBHI CANS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start, per program policy).
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation for community‑based work.
Strong clinical formulation, documentation, and communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal directions effectively.
Demonstrated ability to engage diverse families and practice within a trauma‑informed, culturally responsive model.
Nice-to-Haves
Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.
