The Position The Director of Nursing, Long Term Care, will provide collaborative, strategic, and clinical leadership in accordance with the purpose and values of Avera Tyler Hospital. The Director will be a collaborative partner across the organization with a focus on total nursing care for residents, building relationships with physicians and service line leadership, and cultivating a culture of respect and responsiveness. Oversee all Federal/State SNF Conditions of Participation including admissions, MDS/Care planning process, restorative nursing and care delivery. The Director will oversee ongoing departmental initiatives including nursing strategy, quality, patient care, and patient experience throughout the department. Remains aware of the safety needs for staff and residents; develops policies relevant to quality of care. Coordinates the QAPI program and facilitates staff participation in QAPI. The Director will utilize adopted business models to appropriately measure metrics and develop processes that will ensure the delivery of optimal quality, safety, satisfaction, engagement, and fiscal outcomes throughout the organization. This leader will be responsible for staffing initiatives including coaching, mentoring, evaluations, and will strive to improve staff retention by developing and implementing programs and initiatives that align with Avera Tyler’s policies. Seeking a strong leader to bring nursing expertise to the organization and move forward key initiatives around alignment of patient needs, outcomes, and compliance and safety with productivity guidelines. This role is offering a $15,000 sign‑on bonus!
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Active RN license is required in MN upon hire.
A minimum of two years of Long‑Term Care and/or Skilled Nursing experience is required.
A minimum of one year of relevant leadership experience is required. Experience as a Charge Nurse, Assistant Manager, or Manager is welcomed.
Compensation Details The base salary range for this position is $77,000 to $117,000 annually; the position may be eligible for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus in addition to relocation allowance. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
