Overview The Salesforce Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing scalable, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions that support critical business functions across the organization. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product owners, software engineering teams, and vendors to translate complex business requirements into technical architecture and solution designs that are robust, secure, and aligned with platform best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce expertise, strong leadership capability, and the ability to guide development teams through successful implementations.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end architecture and design for Salesforce initiatives across Sales, Service, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
Serve as the primary architect supporting the Sitetracker Enterprise Platform, including Projects, Project Templates, Sites, Jobs, Job Tasks, Smart Forms, and Trackers.
Define scalable, secure, and reusable architectural patterns aligned with enterprise standards.
Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, integration designs, and data models.
Evaluate solution alternatives, recommend the optimal approach, and present architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders.
Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices, governor limits, and platform capabilities.
Technical Leadership
Operate as a hands‑on individual contributor, owning solution architecture and technical design across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and the Sitetracker Platform.
Collaborate with external development and support partners to ensure delivered solutions align with architectural standards, best practices, and enterprise requirements.
Review and validate partner‑delivered designs, configurations, integrations, and code for quality, scalability, and adherence to platform limits.
Lead technical troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis with internal teams and external partners to resolve complex platform issues.
Produce architectural documentation, design patterns, and governance recommendations that guide both internal teams and external partners.
Integration & Data
Architect and oversee integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, data warehouse).
Define API strategies, integration patterns, and data governance frameworks.
Develop data modeling and data migration strategies, ensuring system integrity and performance.
Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and executives to define roadmap priorities.
Act as the primary architectural point of contact for Salesforce projects across the enterprise.
Platform Governance & Optimization
Contribute to Salesforce governance, including standards, development processes, and release management.
Monitor platform performance and recommend enhancements for scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
Champion continuous improvement and ensure effective use of Salesforce licenses, features, and capabilities.
Education & Experience Required
7+ years of hands‑on Salesforce experience, with at least 3+ years in a Solutions Architect or Technical Architect capacity.
Proven experience designing and implementing complex, multi‑cloud Salesforce solutions (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or CPQ).
Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flow, and Salesforce configuration.
Deep understanding of Salesforce integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, event‑driven architectures).
Experience with data modeling, ETL tools, and data migration strategies.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Experience working in Agile environments.

Must be able to work on‑site in Durham, NC 3 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
Knowledge of DevOps tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps.
Background in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, life sciences, or similar).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Location & Benefits Location: Durham, NC. Hybrid schedule with in‑office presence three days per week.
