About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Storage Engineer with strong IPv6 expertise to support a major federal digital modernization initiative. You will manage, optimize, and secure enterprise storage systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and seamless IPv6 integration across the environment. This is a fully onsite role at a Federal Agency Headquarters in Washington, DC.
What You’ll Do:
Administer and support enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS).
Configure storage systems for IPv6 & IPv4 communication.
Monitor system health, performance, and capacity to prevent issues.
Implement, validate, and optimize backup & disaster‑recovery solutions.
Troubleshoot issues involving storage platforms and IPv6 networking.
Enhance performance, security, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support production schedules.
Provide guidance to junior team members when needed.
What You Bring:
5+ years of hands‑on storage engineering experience.
Strong expertise with SAN, NAS, and Direct Attached Storage.
Solid understanding of storage performance tuning & monitoring.
Experience with IPv6 configuration, routing, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in backup & DR processes.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Advanced knowledge of IPv6 addressing, routing, and network design.
Experience in large‑scale enterprise or federal environments.
