Senior Software Test Engineer I - CGSWeb - TS/SCI
Base pay range: $69.71/hr - $86.54/hr
Epsilon C5I is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with at least 6 years of experience for work in San Diego, CA on an unscheduled part‑time basis. In this role, you will be part of a team providing development, integration, and sustainment of Geospatial Intelligence data management services in the Cloud, across multiple security enclaves. Our engineers develop and integrate new services to manage and disseminate mission data to authorized users. In this role you will be a lead to multiple test engineers we have today, and will be able to create new processes to benefit our test process. Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for software verification and validation, including test planning, development, execution, analysis, and associated documentation
Coordinate and organize testing efforts for multiple frontend web solutions across our team of knowledgeable systems and software engineers
Support bug reporting and tracking and software test processes
Assist in the development of the test strategy in order to meet release deadlines
Adhere to established testing best practices using the latest build tools and testing frameworks
Work under general supervision, and provide feedback on process improvements
Define test strategies, plans, procedures and reports to benefit our customers
Initiate and analyze bug reports and change requests
Ensure that hardware/software deployed includes the functionality specified in all approved requirement documents and that it performs as expected from the customer’s perspective
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline
At least six (6+) years of experience in professional software testing
Experienced with both automation and manual testing
Experience with automation testing tools such as GitLab, GitLab Runner, Jenkins, Selenium, or similar
Adroit at diagnosing and debugging issues and creating clear reports on bugs when found
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Active TS clearance with eligibility for SCI access
U.S. citizenship, as required by government contractual requirements
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of government security policies and familiarity with security‑related technologies and auditing tools
Experience with operational deployments to government networks
Knowledgeable on AWS services such as EC2 and S3
Experience with build tools and version control systems such as Gradle, Yarn, Git
Familiarity with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, ReactJS, and Apache Tomcat
Pay Range The pay range for this role is $69.71 - $86.54 hourly. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
