Role Description This is a volunteer role for an Executive Director located in Oceanside, CA, with the option of some work‑from‑home flexibility as part of a hybrid work arrangement. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading the organization’s operational, fundraising, and community engagement efforts. Responsibilities include overseeing program development, managing budgets, coordinating with staff and volunteers, and building partnerships with donors and other organizations. The role also involves strategic planning and ensuring that the organization’s mission is effectively carried out.
Qualifications
Leadership and operational management skills, with experience in nonprofit or community‑based organizations.
Fundraising, grant writing, and donor relationship management expertise.
Strategic planning, budgeting, and financial oversight skills.
Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to advocate for the organization and its mission.
Experience in program development, implementation, and team coordination.
A passion for supporting Veterans and addressing homelessness issues.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders while maintaining a commitment to equity and inclusion.
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
