Position Summary Gates Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Director of OneStream Administration, to be based at the company's world headquarters in Denver, Colorado or its Technical Research Center in Rochester Hills, Michigan. In this position, the incumbent will have responsibility for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the OneStream platform, which is used for corporate performance management (CPM). With a user base of approximately 300 associates, duties include user access management, system configuration, troubleshooting, data integration, and ensuring seamless financial reporting and consolidation processes for both external reporting and management reporting. They will collaborate with finance and IT teams to implement updates, automate workflows, and enhance system performance. The role will play a critical role in finance transformation initiatives and will implement a continual improvement process within the function. Initially the role will support a new OneStream SaaS implementation assisting with all aspects of the project including design, configuration, testing, training and change management. Future initiatives will include expanding use of the integrated account reconciliation tool and assessing the use of Integrated AI, Tax and ESG platforms along with other enhancements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage financial consolidation and reporting software; responsible for system configuration, troubleshooting, training, onboarding and user support.
Perform daily tasks such as processing data loads, running consolidations, monitoring system performance, and implementing configuration changes as requested by finance teams.
Work closely with financial analysts, IT professionals, and end users to ensure seamless reporting and data accuracy.
Continuously learn new OneStream features and collaborate on process improvements to meet evolving business needs.
Assist with development of financial processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy of data.
Serve as a OneStream subject matter expert on functionality, content, processes, and procedures.
Oversee implementation, architecture, data integration and software customization.
Assist with the design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and technology staff globally to ensure open and ongoing communication.
Act as liaison between technical and functional stakeholders and project management teams to keep initiatives moving forward smoothly.
Define project scope, strategy, deliverable priorities, and recommend alternative solutions.
During implementation, define detailed requirements, analyze business needs, and validate solutions with external partners, coordinating project activities.
Establish, administer, and maintain project and knowledge‑management processes and tools.
Analyze data, write source‑to‑target mapping, and read data models.
Stay informed with software updates and industry best practices.
Maintain a SharePoint site to provide regular updates of critical information.
Provide global oversight of Gates' OneStream Close Process policies and drive consistency and adherence across the organization.
Maintain a rigorous internal control environment and own several key control activities.
Direct interaction with external auditors on OneStream internal controls.
Develop, coach and serve as a mentor and role model to direct reports and broader finance team members.
Assist with ad‑hoc information requests, analysis, and cross‑functional projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Monitors and directs finance teams worldwide, including corporate HQ, Americas, EMEA and APAC, ensuring adherence to OneStream policies and internal controls.
Oversee one direct report assisting with transition from HFM & Oracle Planning to OneStream and providing support on user access controls, configuration and training initiatives.
Requirements and Preferred Skills TRAVEL:
Less than 5%.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree (MBA, MA) preferred.
12+ years of progressive financial accounting and system consolidation experience in HFM or OneStream.
Minimum 5 years of experience specifically with OneStream.
Solid foundation in financial systems administration, data integration, and troubleshooting.
Prior experience implementing OneStream and integrating newly acquired businesses into OneStream.
Hands‑on experience administering a CPM tool for a large multinational entity and implementing related SOX controls.
Certifications and/or completion of Administrator Training Programs through OneStream required.
Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Experience designing and developing OneStream business rules, store procedures, and interfaces.
Experience with OneStream application/report development.
Experience designing and maintaining custom modules such as budgeting/forecasting in OneStream architecture.
Experience working with third‑party vendors to implement SaaS solutions.
“Hands‑on” knowledge of project‑management methodologies.
Financial acumen: AP, AR, revenue recognition, budgeting, bank management, time and billing estimation.
Awareness of security and control standards, frameworks, and best practices.
Strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office products.
Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
Certified CPA or CMA required.
Strong accounting and internal control skill set.
Experience driving finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Automotive, commercial and industrial supplier experience within a large global manufacturer preferred.
Experience with automotive aftermarket industry beneficial.
