Job Responsibilities

Oversee all activities during your shift, ensuring cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations are maintained. Set the example by following all policies and procedures 100% and holding the crew to the same standards. Manage staffing, paperwork, scheduling, and marketing to keep the store running smoothly. Maintain a perfect image and adherence to standard operating procedures, ensuring excellent customer service, punctuality, and store cleanliness. Handle transportation to and from work and must possess a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle for delivery duties.

Core Duties

Operate equipment, stock ingredients, and prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete related paperwork. Clean equipment and facility daily.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Comprehend and give correct written instructions. Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, processing orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions & Skills

Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) quickly and accurately, using a calculator as needed. Accurately give correct monetary change. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Use navigational skills to locate addresses within the delivery area and navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings and other sites while carrying product.

Work Conditions

Varying weather conditions when removing trash or performing outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas. Sudden temperature changes, fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters such as walk‑in coolers. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts.

Sensing & Physical Capabilities

Telephone hearing and near/mid‑range vision for in‑store tasks. Depth perception and ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Far vision and night vision for driving a delivery vehicle.

Temperaments & Work Style

Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, and work under stress. Meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements

Standing: most tasks performed from a standing position, including walking on ceramic tile and linoleum. Walking: short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store and vehicle and customer locations. Sitting: paperwork normally completed at a desk or table. Lifting: bulk deliveries up to 50 lbs; cases stacked up to 72” high. Carrying: large cans (≈3 lbs), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of dough (≈12 lbs) carried over short distances. Pushing: move trays on dollies, requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force. Climbing: infrequently navigate stairs or ladder for signage or maintenance; delivery may require five or more flights of stairs. Stooping/Bending: forward bending at the pizza assembly station for 30‑45 seconds, repeated continuously; also at the front counter and stocking ingredients. Crouching/Squatting: occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching: continuous up, down, forward; reach above 72” to turn on/off oven controls and other tasks. Driving: deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
