Role Description This is a contract, on-site role located in Brentwood, NY, for an experienced Anesthesiologist. The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing medical procedures, monitoring patient safety during surgical operations, and managing preoperative and postoperative pain management. Collaborating with surgeons, critical care teams, and nursing staff will be a critical part of this role. Additional duties may include participating in patient assessments and consultations, developing care plans, and staying informed about advancements in anesthesiology to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

NYS license & registration

ACLS certified

English or Bilingual (English & Spanish) language.

Credentialing & Privileging at Pilgrim PC as per MSO guidelines.

Scheduled to work at Pilgrim PC for 10 hours/week spread over two mutually agreed-upon working days from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in Anesthesiology, including the ability to safely administer a wide range of anesthetic techniques and medications.

Comprehensive knowledge of Medicine, including patient care principles and treatment protocols applicable to surgical and non-surgical settings.

Understanding of Critical Care Nursing and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and monitor vitals during procedures.

Experience with Surgery assistance and integration of anesthesia procedures into surgical workflows.

Proficiency in Pain Management strategies to ensure patient comfort and recovery post-surgery.

Medical degree with accreditation in anesthesiology and a valid state medical license; board certification is preferred.

Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional patient care and work in high-pressure situations.

Flexibility and willingness to work in an on-site capacity with a multidisciplinary team.
