Responsibilities

Collaborate with the technical lead and software/systems architects to guide design and integration decisions while performing hands‑on C++ development.

Design, implement, and maintain high‑performance C++ software for radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction, and processing, and radar control processing components.

Participate in design and code reviews, actively providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster a continuous improvement mindset.

Mentor junior engineers and foster systems thinking across the team.

Lead other engineers in translating customer needs into actionable Agile tasks and actively participate in sprint planning, story breakdowns, stand‑ups, demos, and retrospectives.

Verify and interpret software changes, including regression testing, to ensure modifications produce intended system behavior and build confidence before delivering solutions to customers.

Maintain and improve legacy codebases by applying and promoting software engineering practices.

Serve as a technical liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Support automation, regression testing, and tooling improvements.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.

Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis, and signal processing.

Functional knowledge of radar systems, subsystems and designs with familiarity of design tools for radar modeling.

Radar systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.

Technical leadership experience with program execution.

Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Active DoD Secret‑level clearance or higher.

Other Important Information Ability to work remotely: Onsite Full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
