About Our Engineering Sciences Team As part of our expanding Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, you will work at the forefront of today’s most complex engineering challenges. You will be engaged in analyzing failures of a myriad of products from a variety of industries, with a heavy focus on large industrial facilities such as power plants, Oil & Gas facilities, chemical processing plants, construction and related projects. Outside of that work, you will also handle automotive, consumer products, consumer electronics, and medical device projects. Secretariat leverages our diverse technical expertise and industry knowledge to provide clients with world‑class value, identifying solutions that drive performance and safety.
Responsibilities
Attract and win new business opportunities for Secretariat in both expert witness and strategic consulting.
Contribute to the growth of Secretariat’s Thermal practice by recruiting talented staff.
Mentor and drive the growth of Thermal staff.
Provide project management and project budget oversight.
Qualifications
Established track record for business development and an existing client base.
Requisite professional degrees and ~8+ years of work experience:
PhD or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Fire Protection Engineering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have previously testified in deposition, trial, arbitration, or hearings.
Excellent expert report writing skills to complement analytics.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent listening, verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills.
The desire to lead, with auxiliary tasks associated with a growing practice within a rapidly growing firm.
