Summary The
IT Sr. Project Manager
leads end-to-end coordination and execution of complex IT solutions projects, driving strategic planning through successful implementation and delivery. This role also includes leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Organizational Change Management (OCM) to ensure stakeholder adoption and that changes are embedded effectively to deliver lasting business value. This position may be based in Houston, TX; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Arlington, VA; or Richmond, VA.
Roles and Responsibilities The
IT Sr. Project Manager
will perform the following duties in a safe, productive, and effective manner:
Defines and governs project scope, priorities, timelines, and deliverable schedules, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and the IT and corporate project portfolios
Leads the coordination and facilitation of workstreams, meetings, and key decision-making sessions to maintain project momentum and stakeholder engagement
Manages project budgets and oversees vendor performance, ensuring all deliverables comply with policies and contractual agreements
Delivers comprehensive, timely status reports and progress updates to executive sponsors and cross-functional stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and risk mitigation
Oversees the development and maintenance of all critical project documentation, including workflows, requirements, training materials, and user guides to support effective transfer and sustainability
Ensures all project outcomes are directly tied and documented to requirements, guaranteeing alignment between deliverables and business objectives for measurable value realization
Manages the relationship between contracted vendors or consultants and management
Facilitates discussions and consensus among various project stakeholders, such as analysts, programmers, sponsors, and users
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree with emphasis in IT or Business
10 – 12 years of experience with project management methodologies on cross-functional, multifaceted IT portfolio of projects
Proven track record of executing projects on time, on budget, and with strong organizational change management at a mid-sized company (or larger)
Experience managing processes and application projects for financial systems, critical infrastructure, and construction applications exhibiting business acumen
Proficient in applying mathematical and analytical skills to budgeting, forecasting, risk assessment, and performance metricsAbility to initiate, manage, and contribute to projects at any stage—from concept development and planning through execution and delivery—ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations
Technically proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite, Smartsheet, Power BI, and other project management and collaboration tools; able to quickly adapt to new software environments to support planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication

Prosci Certification
Experience using Viewpoint – VISTA Construction Management software
Experience in the construction industry
Travel required
