Position Summary:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Nutritionist is responsible for providing nutrition services to members.
Responsibilities:
Meet with members/participants, working collaboratively with them, assessing their health and well being.
Developing realistic and obtainable goals for the members needs.
Crafting the right diet and exercise plans for individual clients.
Support and motivate clients with regular meetings.
Keep track of client progress.
Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and branch events.
Follow policies, procedures, guidelines, and tracking systems set forth by the Mt. Madonna YMCA/CRC.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics and 1 year experience.
Certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Master's Degree in Nutrition preferred.
Aptitude to work with computers: MS word, Excel, Nutrient analysis programs.
Current knowledge in the fields of weight management, diet and disease, wellness, nutrition.
YMCA Healthy Lifestyles Principles.
Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Aptitude to work with a diverse clientele.
Ability to communicate effectively and confidentially.
Salary Range:
$35.00 - $45.00/Hour
