We are seeking a Threat Detection Cell Algorithm Developer for our Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland location. This position is onsite, five days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Using OEM/internally developed missile warning system models, interfacing with each part of the processing chain, and extracting necessary information. Developing tools to analyze model outputs and understand model caveats. Developing algorithms and analyzing specifications of advanced sensors to estimate performance improvements based on algorithmic techniques, potentially through parametric studies of sensor characteristics. Qualifications

Required: 5 years experience with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Matlab, Python, or R. Understanding of imaging systems and processing chains, including image processing, object detection, and classification. Knowledge of state-of-the-art ML/AI classification techniques (binary and multiclass). Experience working with large data sets and producing optimized data products. Ability to interpret abstract directions and produce timely data products. Understanding of advanced image processing techniques. Proficiency in technical documentation using MS Word and PowerPoint. Ability to be onsite five days a week. US Citizenship and active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Desired: Experience with code handoff to production teams. Strong object-oriented programming skills, preferably in C++. Background in computer graphics and scene rendering. Understanding of light emission, propagation, and detection physics in imaging systems. Knowledge of sensor information limits. Peraton Overview

$104,000 - $166,000, based on experience and other factors. EEO
