Student Gov- Deputy Chief of Staff (Finance)
The Deputy Chief of Staff supports the Governor and Lieutenant Governor in maintaining the effectiveness, productivity, and coordination of the Administration. This role involves strategic advising, cabinet oversight, communications, and operational management across the St. Petersburg campus Executive Branch. This position is open to USF students who meet the minimum requirements below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be in good academic standing and maintain a minimum cumulative institutional 2.5 GPA for undergraduate students and a minimum cumulative institutional 3.0 GPA for graduate students.
Must be actively enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours as an undergraduate degree‑seeking student or a minimum of 4 credit hours as a post‑baccalaureate student during the fall and spring semesters.
Must not be under current disciplinary probation, suspension, or expulsion with the university.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to think critically and logically in any given situation.
Possess strong organization and analytical skills.
Able to take initiative in the workplace and create strategic goals.
Possess demonstrated experience working within a Team Dynamic.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the overall effectiveness and productivity of the Administration by means of committees and staff accountability measures.
Assist the Governor and Lieutenant Governor in overseeing the local cabinet and its initiatives.
Serve as a strategic advisor and provide counsel to the Governor and Lieutenant Governor.
Maintain a master calendar of all branch events, deadlines, and tasks to support cabinet accountability.
Attend bi‑weekly (minimum) local executive meetings.
St. Petersburg Specific Responsibilities
Serve as the communication liaison between Student Government and St. Petersburg local businesses in support of the Bulls Country Initiative.
Manage purchasing, stocking, and maintenance for all feminine hygiene product machines on campus.
