The Position

The Vice President, Education-to-Career will lead national strategies and initiatives to transform policies, build capacities, and drive behavior change within education systems, institutions, and providers. You will advance system changes that integrate high school, college, and career experiences—ensuring all learning is career-connected and prepares young adults to earn credentials of value and remain agile in a dynamic labor market shaped by AI and technology. What You’ll Do

Lead bold strategy, vision, and thought leadership for the Education Practice, providing national thought leadership on a broad range of issues impacting learners. Develop and execute a strategy that establishes and advances a vision for learning systems for young adults that inspires key leaders in the field to action and amplifies JFF’s point of view. Work closely with the Education Practice Lead and team to raise funds, including proposal development and capture management from cultivation through award, and relationship management aligned to JFF’s strategic and operational plans. Engage and manage relationships with funders and strategic partners, achieving annual business development goals for the Practice and contributing to shared business development goals for other Practices and Centers. Model inclusive leadership and build a collaborative team among direct reports, staff who drive Pathways to Prosperity, and colleagues from other teams across the portfolio of projects and budgets. Qualifications

Field recognized leader with deep knowledge in systems change work and a history of implementing ambitious pathways, career-connected, and other transformations at the regional and state levels. Deep conviction for the work of the Education Practice, with a commitment to advancing economic mobility for all through systems-level transformation. Familiar with national developments in K-12 and postsecondary education, skills-first approaches, credentials, adult education, and community-based organizations. Ability to set a vision with marked influence nationally in work-based learning, employer-education partnerships, and leveraging AI for scale and transformation. Experienced in designing and carrying out strategic advising, capacity building, and program design with and for partners; skilled at sponsoring complex projects and delivering exceptional outcomes. Proven ability to raise significant philanthropic, public, and corporate funding (six and seven figure gifts); skilled at crafting fundable strategies, proposals, and budgets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at turning complex ideas into accessible, actionable frameworks. Strong managerial skill set, with a history of motivating colleagues and partners, producing strong outcomes, and managing disparate priorities with multiple timelines. Capacity to travel up to 25% as required. What We Offer
