As Director of Product Management for our Engine Data team, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of groundbreaking data infrastructure that powers machine learning capabilities across Unity. We're transforming Unity into a true end‑to‑end platform where data flows seamlessly from the Engine to empower critical decision‑making. You'll work at the intersection of our Engine and data platform, building Core Standards that make richer, safer, and more intentional data collection a reality. Your work will directly impact how developers leverage runtime signals to better serve their players, moving beyond traditional measurement approaches to unlock new possibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Define and implement the product strategy for Engine Data, establishing Core Standards that enable deeper player understanding across Unity’s platform.
Partner with engineering, machine learning, and multi‑functional teams to build data infrastructure that helps developers attract and retain players.
Champion a unified platform vision, breaking down organizational boundaries to create coherent data flows from development through deployment.
Drive product roadmaps that balance immediate developer needs with long‑term platform goals, ensuring runtime data collection is built into the Engine by design.
Collaborate with key decision makers across Unity to align Engine Data capabilities with company‑wide strategic objectives.
What We’re Looking For
Proven track record building and scaling data products or infrastructure in complex technical environments.
Deep understanding of machine learning workflows and how data products enable ML engineering teams.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi‑functional teams, translating technical requirements into product strategy.
Experience shipping platform products that serve both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong critical thinking skills with ability to navigate ambiguity and make data‑informed decisions.
You Might Also Have
Experience with game engines, runtime data collection, AdTech, or developer tools.
Track record of building consensus across organizations and championing bold product visions.
Background in privacy, data governance, or building compliant data infrastructure at scale.
