General Summary: Responsible for maintaining smooth and efficient flow of patients in clinic, performing functions delegated by nursing and physician staff and maintaining and promoting a safe, clean and organized environment for the delivery of care. Also provides clerical support for the assigned clinic. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High School education or equivalent. Currently registered with the State of Wisconsin Registry for Nursing Assistants (CNA license), or graduate of a medical assistant program; certification preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant certifications are not required to be renewed after hire. Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred. Ability to perform data entry at 5500 KSPH preferred. Interpersonal skills necessary to gather and share information with physicians, patients, visitors, families, and team members in a courteous and confidential manner. Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks done simultaneously. Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient care needs. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Physical ability to lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as push and pull when performing cleaning functions. Frequently bends, lifts, twists, reaches, and squats. Occasionally push/pulls and does overhead work. The hours for this position are 11:30am to 8:00pm Monday through Friday. All work is performed onsite at the clinic.
