Principal Electrical Engineer – Consumer Robotics - Boston Area

Base Pay Range $180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr
Responsibilities As Principal Electrical Engineer, you will own the electrical architecture from early prototypes through production-grade systems. You’ll lead system design, motor control, sensor integration (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs), power electronics, and battery systems, while shaping how designs transition to reliable, manufacturable hardware with overseas partners.
Qualifications
You have 10+ years taking robotic or consumer hardware from concept to production, including EVT through pilot builds.
You’re fluent in circuit design, power systems, motor control, and mixed-signal/communication interfaces. Comfortable owning schematics and PCB layout.
You care about DFM/DFA, cost, reliability, and compliance (FCC/CE/UL), and enjoy collaborating with manufacturing and supply chain.
You’re excited to mentor others and establish lightweight processes for a fast-moving startup entering production.
