Senior Digital Project Manager

Caterpillar Inc. Job Summary Play a key supporting role in the delivery of complex digital projects. Assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring project activities, ensuring quality standards are met and timelines are communicated. Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver high‑quality products for dealer and customer‑facing digital applications. What You Will Do Support day‑to‑day project activities, including creating project plans, tracking schedules, and deliverables under the direction of senior project managers. Assist in developing contingency plans for potential risks. Collaborate with project teams to ensure service expectations and quality standards are met. Monitor project progress and elevate significant deviations to senior leadership. Contribute to project documentation and reporting. What You Will Have Planning: Tactical, strategic, and long‑term planning in support of business objectives. Project Administration: Use best practices and organizational tools for administering projects. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. IT Project Control and Reporting: Monitor vital signs of IT projects while managing progress and delivery schedule. IT Project Management: Plan, organize, monitor, and control IT projects with appropriate technical resources. Considerations For Top Candidates College or university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Business, or a closely related discipline; equivalent experience preferred. 5+ years of experience supporting engineering, technical, or digital project teams (Agile environment preferred). Familiarity with Caterpillar New Product Introduction (NPI / dNPI) processes and tools. Profound skills in Power BI and Excel for dashboards and reporting. Experience with MS Copilot across M365 apps to automate processes. Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Aha!, or similar platforms. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse teams across a matrixed organization. PMP or Scrum Master certification desirable but not required. Additional Information This position can be based in Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Broomfield, CO; or Dallas, TX.
