We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our SpringServe Ad Server team, where you will work on a globally distributed ad serving system that handles hundreds of billions of requests a day. You have the opportunity to take on project initiatives to improve the delivery of our systems, tackle hard technical challenges, and contribute to a small team of passionate individuals.

As a Senior Software Engineer You Will:

Participate in the back‑end design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of critical ad‑serving applications

Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise

Be a creative problem‑solver able to design and implement reliable and maintainable solutions to challenging problems

Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans

Write production‑ready code and unit tests that meet both system and business requirements

Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues, and ad‑hoc questions

Work collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver quality software

Leverage AI‑assisted tools in your development process

Support the operation of services in testing environments and production

Perform design and code reviews

We’re looking for someone with:

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of relevant work experience in software development

Primary development experience in Java for high‑throughput, low‑latency back‑end web services. Experience with asynchronous programming patterns, high levels of concurrency, and with frameworks such as Vert.x and Dropwizard is highly desirable.

A strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and an ability to recognize the business and technical trade‑offs between different solutions

Familiarity with AI‑assisted development using tools such GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude

Experience with development and CI tools like Maven, git, containerization with Docker, a build management system like Codebuild or Jenkins, and Jira

Experience writing unit tests

Postgres or other relational DB experience with SQL and table design

Ability to context switch and manage competing priorities

Nice to Have:

General Ad Technology experience, ideally with header bidding technologies in a production environment

In CO, the base salary range for this position is: $135,000 - 145,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).

In CA, the base salary range for this position is: $145,000 - 165,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).

In NY, the base salary range for this position is: $145,000 - 165,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
