SUDBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS FIRE ALARM, EMERGENCY LIGHTING AND BI-DIRECTIONAL AMPLIFICATION SYSTEM DESIGN The Sudbury Public Schools (“Owner”), by its School Superintendent acting through the Combined Facilities Director, is seeking proposals from registered engineering firms licensed to do business in Massachusetts and experienced in fire alarm, emergency lighting, and bi-directional amplification system design of public buildings. The scope of work includes design, cost estimating, and bidding services for the installation of a new fire alarm system at Ephraim Curtis Middle School, Josiah Haynes, and Israel Loring Elementary Schools, as well as the design and cost estimating of bi-directional amplification systems for all schools, including Peter Noyes and General John Nixon Elementary Schools. This is in accordance with the request for qualifications. The schools involved in this RFQ are as follows: Copies of the RFQ will be available starting Thursday, July 24, 2025, by email request to the Office of the Combined Facilities Director at facilities@sudbury.ma.us or in person at the Facilities Office located at 275 Old Lancaster Road, Sudbury, MA 01776, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. A site visit will be held beginning at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The visit will start at Israel Loring School and proceed to Ephraim Curtis Middle School, Peter Noyes School Elementary, General John Nixon Elementary, and Josiah Haynes Elementary School in that order. All RFQ-related questions must be submitted to the Office of the Combined Facilities Director at facilities@sudbury.ma.us by Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Proposals addressed to the Town of Sudbury's Combined Facilities Director will be accepted at the same office, 275 Old Lancaster Rd., Sudbury, MA 01776, until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Proposals received after this deadline will not be considered. Electronic submissions are not accepted. The engineering services outlined in the RFQ are expected to commence upon signing a contract, which will be based on the qualifications of the proposer and an acceptable fee not to exceed $180,000. The timeline for deliverables is as follows: preliminary cost estimates by October 30, 2025; substantial completion of design documents by November 15, 2025; and final completion of construction documents by December 15, 2025.
