Job Description Summary The program director must be assigned to the program on a 12-month full-time basis, with at least 80% of that time dedicated to academic and administrative responsibilities supporting the program, and up to 20% of the time spent teaching courses. The director will supervise the medical director, principal, instructional faculty, and staff involved in activities directly related to the PA program.
Minimum Qualifications
A current PA license is required.
PA and PA-C (current or emeritus).
Three years of full-time higher education experience at the time of appointment.
Current or emeritus NCCPA certification status.
Demonstrated management experience in a higher education setting.
Must be either NCCPA or board-certified MD/DO.
Documented academic PA program teaching experience as a principal program faculty.
At least five years of clinical and/or academic experience as a PA or MD/DO.
Understanding of ARC -PA Standards (v.4 and v5).
Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications
Effective leadership skills, including responsiveness, strong communication, and proactive problem solving.
Knowledge of and responsibility for program organization, administration, fiscal management, continuous review, planning, development, and compliance with ARC-PA standards and policies.
